Hold'em Manager Alternatives for Modern Poker Apps (PokerBros, ClubGG, X-Poker)
Hold'em Manager 3 supports PokerStars and GGPoker but not app-based private clubs. Here is what actually works for PokerBros, ClubGG, PPPoker, X-Poker, and other modern poker apps.
The Short Answer
If you play modern app-based poker โ PokerBros, ClubGG, PPPoker, X-Poker (formerly PokerBros), upoker, Suprema Poker โ and you're looking for a Hold'em Manager alternative, the honest answer is: HM3 doesn't support these apps at all, and neither does PokerTracker 4, Hand2Note, or any other classic Windows-based tracker.
The tools that do:
- DEEPFOLD AI Coach โ the only AI analysis tool that parses X-Poker replay links directly (paste the URL, no export needed). Also accepts pasted hand histories from other apps when available.
- Screenshot upload (also via DEEPFOLD) โ works for any app where you can snap a board mid-hand
- In-app replayers โ some apps like PokerBros have rudimentary built-in replay, but no stat engine
Everything else in this space is either discontinued or doesn't support these apps at all.
Why Hold'em Manager 3 Doesn't Work on Private Club Apps
HM3's architecture is built on a specific assumption: your poker client writes hand histories to a folder on your local machine, as plain-text files, in a format HM3's parsers understand.
Modern app-based poker platforms break this assumption in three ways:
1. Mobile-first. No desktop client.
PokerBros, ClubGG, PPPoker are phone apps. There is no Windows client writing .txt files to C:\PokerBros\handhistory\. Even the apps with desktop versions (X-Poker, upoker) don't expose that folder.
2. Proprietary, non-standard formats.
Where these apps do let you export (e.g. via email or a share link), the format is not the PokerStars-compatible .txt that HM3/PT4/Hand2Note were built to parse. Each app has its own structure.
3. Anti-HUD posture. Private club apps exist partly because their operators prefer an environment without HUDs. TOS often explicitly prohibits third-party tracking, and even if it didn't, the architecture (ephemeral hands, mobile-only) makes scraping impractical.
The upshot: if you play on these apps, there is no modern HM3 replacement that will give you a live HUD. That capability doesn't exist in this ecosystem. Anyone selling it is overstating.
What Actually Works for Modern Poker Apps
DEEPFOLD AI Coach (the closest thing to a solution)
DEEPFOLD was built specifically with this ecosystem in mind. Three input modes:
Mode 1: X-Poker / PokerBros replay link.
X-Poker (formerly branded PokerBros) generates a shareable replay URL for any hand: https://play.xpoker.com/replay/.... Paste that URL into DEEPFOLD AI Coach and it parses the hand server-side. No export, no screenshot. No other AI analysis tool on the market does this โ it's DEEPFOLD's defining feature for this audience.
Mode 2: Screenshot upload. For ClubGG, PPPoker, or any app where you can take a screenshot mid-hand, upload it to DEEPFOLD. The AI reads position, stacks, bet sizes, and board texture from the image, then gives you a decision in real time.
Mode 3: Paste whatever export you have. If the app lets you email a hand history (even in a quirky non-standard format), paste it into DEEPFOLD. The AI is tolerant of format variation in a way rigid parsers like HM3 are not.
PokerCraft (GGPoker / Natural8 in-client)
If "modern" in your question means "also GGPoker", PokerCraft is GG's built-in replayer. Free, sanctioned, but GG-only. Doesn't help with PokerBros/ClubGG at all.
App-native replay (limited)
Most app-based platforms have a rudimentary hand-history viewer inside the app โ you can replay the last session's hands visually. No stats, no filtering, no cross-session aggregation. It's better than nothing for casual review.

Example: Reviewing an X-Poker Hand with DEEPFOLD
A reader's hand (shared with permission):
Situation: X-Poker NL$200 private club, 6-max, 80BB effective. Hero BTN JโฆTโฆ opens 2.3BB. BB (100BB) 3-bets to 8BB. Hero calls. Flop Qโ 9โ 4โฃ (pot 16.5BB, stacks 72BB). BB c-bets 5BB. Hero's decision.
DEEPFOLD reply (~5 seconds):
JTs on BTN vs BB 3-bet: Calling at 80BB is standard โ JTs has good playability, flops well, and defends against the tighter ranges that 3-bet from BB.
Flop Qโ 9โ 4โฃ โ pure monster draw. Open-ended straight draw (K or 8 for the straight) plus backdoor flush draw. Total equity vs BB's 3-bet range: ~38% with clear future equity. BB's 5BB c-bet (30% pot) is standard for his range.
Recommendation: raise. This is a premium semi-bluff. Raise to ~14-16BB. You fold out BB's weaker overpairs (88-77), get called by AQ/KQ where you still have 30%+ equity, and deny equity to BB's overcards. Folding is giving up too much EV; just calling lets BB barrel unfavorable turns against a capped range.
Leak flag: If you've been calling spots like this consistently, you're underplaying your draws. Revisit BTN-vs-BB 3-bet-pot-with-draws in Drill Mode.
That kind of analysis is not something PT4 or HM3 generates โ they don't interpret spots, they just count events.
FAQ
Is there any HUD-style tool for PokerBros / ClubGG?
Not reliably. The app architecture prohibits scraping, and TOS prohibits third-party overlays. Any product claiming to do this in 2026 should be treated with skepticism โ and many have been DMCA'd or banned on their home apps.
Does Hand2Note work on X-Poker?
Hand2Note does not natively parse X-Poker hand histories. The only tool with dedicated X-Poker replay link support is DEEPFOLD.
What about Hold'em Resources Calculator (HRC)?
HRC is a tournament-specific ICM and ranges calculator, not a tracker or hand-history analyzer. Different category of tool โ see our ICM calculator guide for context.
Can I use DEEPFOLD alongside my existing HM3 install?
Yes. Many users run HM3 for their PokerStars / GGPoker volume database, and DEEPFOLD for X-Poker / PokerBros / ClubGG sessions plus per-hand AI review across all platforms.
Is DEEPFOLD's screenshot analysis accurate?
The AI reads common table layouts with high accuracy โ position, stacks, bet sizing, board cards. For unusual skins or very low-resolution captures, you may need to provide the hand history as text. In practice, screenshots from modern apps (iOS/Android native) work reliably.
Next Steps
Start with this question: "Can I copy-paste a URL or take a screenshot?"
- X-Poker / PokerBros user: Paste the replay link into DEEPFOLD AI Coach โ no export needed
- ClubGG / PPPoker / upoker user: Screenshot the hand mid-play, upload to DEEPFOLD AI Coach
- GGPoker / Natural8 user: Use PokerCraft (free, in-client) for basic review, DEEPFOLD for AI depth
- Mixed player (stars + apps): HM3 for the Stars grind, DEEPFOLD for everything else
๐ฏ Paste an X-Poker replay link into DEEPFOLD AI Coach โ the only AI tool that parses these links natively.
